The Culture and Arts Museums of Migrant Labors
The aim of the museum is to record the art and history of migrant worker and to advocate the value of labor. The museum was founded in 2008, and all the exhibitions are collected from the workers all over the country, including pictures, newspaper clippings, letters, daily tools, cloth etc. The exhibition are arranged in chronological order by eight stages of migrant workers’ history since 1949, which are the early period of the founding of P.R.C.; rural reform; township enterprise; the surge rural-urban migration; the building of management system; the hard life of the migrants; the birth of NGOs; and the adjustments of policies. The museum attracts not only workers and ordinary people, but researchers and government officials. It was crucial in advocating the value of labor and respect for the working class.
